by Photo posted March 18, 2019

Friday's rallies by students around the world were one of the biggest international actions yet to demand more government action to fight climate change. The coordinated 'school strikes,' were inspired by 16-year-old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, who began holding solitary demonstrations outside the Swedish parliament last year.
